The Fulfillment I (Proverbs 3:5)

As the body of Christ, we battle against not just flesh and blood, but against the temptations of the world.
Being followers of Christ, we are given commandments to staple on the foreskins of our hearts.
For the multiplying of days, a long life, and everlasting peace will follow us for all the days of our lives.
Mercy and truth are not the only things we are to stand on.
Then we shall find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and our fellow man.
We must trust in the Lord with all of our hearts; and lean not unto our own understanding.

In my life there were times that I leaned on my own understanding instead of going to the cross.
Whining and moaning whenever I didn't get my way would only make my existence harder to bare.
I can only imagine where I would be if I only pushed through.
Leaning on my own understanding hurt me in the long run.

If you end up being a babysitter when you had no intentions of being a parent don't be upset.
Get on your knees and pray about it.
  Trust in the Lord.
And lean not on your own understanding.

If you become a librarian instead of a teacher don't be upset.
Get on your knees and pray about it.
  Trust in the Lord.
And lean not on your own understanding.

If you graduate from college with a degree in Business Administration, but you drive a truck for a living don't be upset.
Get on your knees and pray about it.
  Trust in the Lord.
And lean not on your own understanding.

Until the Lord calls us home, we only have one life to live.
  How we live it counts.
Doing righteous works is better than not doing work at all.
In a world that is hooked on influence and followers being a servant is much greater.
Whether one be black or white, male or female, Democrat or Republican, we are all one in Jesus Christ.
Let's continue to lift each other up through both words and actions.
Be of good cheer and steadfast on the Word.
Face the adversary with courage and boldness.
May grace and peace be with you.
  Amen.
